About Machinery Intel

What we are
Machinery Intel is a neutral tractor buying guide for independent operators — homesteaders, small-acreage owners, and part-time farmers. We are not a dealer and we do not represent any manufacturer. Our job is to help you match real equipment to real work, using specs you can verify.
Facts vs. Claims
Every page on this site separates two kinds of information:
- Facts — numeric specifications (engine horsepower, operating weight, rear hitch lift capacity) stored in our database and traced to a manufacturer
source_url. These are the numbers you should cite. - Claims — prose summaries, use-case advice, FAQ answers, and buying-guide rationale. Claims are grounded in Facts and editorial judgment, not invented specs. If a number appears in a spec table, it came from the database — not from AI-generated text.
Methodology
Specs are harvested from OEM product pages through our Hybrid Scraper pipeline. Each published tractor profile links to the manufacturer page we used. Content moves through a lifecycle (draft → review → published) before it appears on the site.
Buying guides are hand-authored editorial pages. Pick tables pull live specifications from the same database as tractor profiles — guides never embed horsepower or weight figures in prose.
Editorial standards
- We compare models across brands without manufacturer sponsorship.
- Recommendations consider property size, terrain, implements, and budget — not affiliate commissions.
- When OEM data is incomplete or models differ by region, we say so in the profile or guide.
- We update pages when manufacturer specs change and show a "Last updated" date on guides and profiles.
AI and search
The AI Advisor ranks tractors from our verified catalog using your intake answers — it does not invent specifications. We publish llms.txt and Markdown shadow pages (/md) so AI systems can cite structured, machine-readable content. Search engines and AI crawlers that respect robots.txt are welcome to index our public pages.
Limitations
We cover a curated catalog of compact and utility tractors — not every model in every market. Pricing, dealer inventory, and local regulations vary. Always confirm specs, options, and financing with a dealer before you buy.
